Performance Enhancement in Sport: Roles and Responsibilities of Coaches

‘What are the roles and responsibilities of individuals who provide sporting opportunities for young people?’

A workshop was held on July 5th 2012 at the University of Leeds to encourage reflection on the ethical responsibilities of different individuals within sport. A 90 minute debate was organised for adults who provide sporting opportunities for young people (e.g. sportsperson, coach, guardian) focussing on performance enhancement in sport and the roles and responsibilities of individuals in this process.

Here are the resources to allow you to run this debate. This would be also useful for teaching students in KS4 & 5 about scientific ethics and sport or for training courses for coaches with the responibility of working with young people.
