The current Faculty of Biological Sciences encompasses the former Schools of Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology and Sports and Exercise Sciences covering areas from molecular structure, cell and tissue biology and physiology through whole organism, plant, animal and medical science to the environment, ecology and sport and exercise sciences.
