Welcome

We are sad to announce that Professor Steve Baldwin passed away in November 2014.

In addition to collecting funds for an annual award in Steve's name for the best PhD thesis, Steve's many friends and colleagues will celebrate Steve's tremendous contributions to membrane protein biology with a two day symposium. This will take place on the 16th and 17th of December 2015 in Leeds. Speakers will include Nobel Laurate Sir John Walker FRS and Professor Nieng Yan from Tsinghua University, Beijing.

To support the organisation of this event, a donations webpage has been created (https://www.justgiving.com/Peter-Henderson8/). Please help us to make this tribute to Steve Baldwin a success.

Welcome to the Web Pages of the Baldwin Laboratory, located in the Institute of Membrane and Systems Biology, in the Faculty of Biological Sciences at the University of Leeds. Our group is interested in the structure, function and regulation of membrane transporters and vesicular trafficking proteins. We collaborate with other membrane biologists, and form part of the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology.
