PhD Opportunities

The lab welcomes applications from highly qualified prospective students. These will be advertised on findaphd, the FBS web pages, and also on this page.

Typically, to be competitive, applicants will need an upper-second class or first class undergraduate degree, or equivalent. A post-graduate degree such as a MSc, MRes or Mbiol will offer a distinct advantage, as would industrial experience.

Two EU-funded PhD studentships will soon be advertised, for appointment in mid-late 2017

Self-funded students

We welcome applications at any time from self funded students that are well qualified and highly motivated. We can offer projects on any of the virus systems described within these pages. Contact us via email, using details on the Barr lab home page.
