Message from the Editor

This is Biolog-e's 5th issue, being published at an exciting time for Biological Sciences at Leeds. As with previous issues, the articles are a sample of first class research projects from students on the Biology programmes, covering Biology, Animal Science, Zoology and Genetics.

This issue includes a sample of the best of our undergraduate research projects and some student articles.

Biolog-e has been more inactive this year than I would have liked, but there has been a lot of activity behind the scenes. I look forward to welcoming all Faculty students back to University in the autumn and telling them how they can be involved in contributing articles or even running the journal.
