Interested in all aspects of echolocation, current research is directed primarily at refining methods used to identify bats from their echolocation calls, to facilitate field studies using bat detectors.

The sonograms to the right were collected during a study of bats in the Dadia National Park in Greece.

We are now developing techniques for automated call extraction and species identification from large sound files.
