Background: IBSc (1976), Bangalore University, MBBS (1981), Mysore University, India. Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSE) in 1989, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 1998. Currently a consultant vascular surgeon at the Unit of Vascular Surgery (Leeds General Infirmary; 1995-present) and Clinical Sub-Dean for Leeds University Medical School (2003-present). Also Professor of Translational Vascular Medicine (1998-present) and Director of the Institute of Atherothrombosis (2006-present) at Bradford University. Visiting research professor at Louisiana State University (USA) in 2002.
