Masters fees

Masters fees are set on a course by course basis with Home/ EU and International fees information available on individual course pages. Search our course finder to find the fees for your course.

Postgraduate fees are not regulated by the UK government so decisions on UK undergraduate fees do not apply to postgraduate fees. Our postgraduate fees are set independently and reviewed on an annual basis.

The cost of a postgraduate degree varies by course; you will get details of your fees with your offer letter.

Find out when and how to pay your fees

If you are a postgraduate Masters applicant to Leeds who needs a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK the University requires you to pay a tuition fee deposit

If you are a former student of the University of Leeds you may be eligible for a 10% alumni tuition fee bursary

Financial help

The majority of our students are self-funded, or funded by their employer or national government. However, several additional sources provide either fully-funded or part-funded scholarships, both for UK, EU and for international applicants. See our scholarships webpage to see if you are eligible.

The UK Government Postgraduate Loans Scheme will be introduced for the 2016-17 academic year. These will provide up to £10,280 a year for taught Masters courses.

Scholarship options and self-funding advice can be found on the Postgraduate scholarships webpage. Advice is also available on the student finance webpage.

When to pay

If you are self-funded you will need a payment plan in place to pay your tuition fees in order to complete registration. If you are a sponsored student then you will need to provide a sponsorship letter as evidence. Further advice on paying fees and charges is available on the website.

2017 entry

A number of postgraduate scholarships are available for UK, EU and international students, both from the Faculty of Biological Sciences at the University of Leeds, and from external sponsors. Eligibility for scholarships and bursaries will vary according to the scholarship.
