Faculty success at 2013 Partnership Awards

Faculty success at 2013 Partnership Awards
The Faculty of Biological Sciences has been hugely successful at the latest partnership Awards.

The Faculty of Biological Sciences was represented by 4 winners overall at the latest Partnership Awards. The Awards celebrate and highlight achievements within the University that are a reflection of the partnership between staff and students, and the success at the most recent awards highlights the ongoing development of the Partnership within the Faculty.

Neuroscientists were particularly well represented in the awards, with all 3 winning staff coming from the area;

  • Sue Deuchars was awarded the Outreach Award for her exceptional encouragement and work with potential students.
  • Neil Morris was awarded the Innovation award for his use of new and novel ways to engage and excite others.
  • The Personal Tutor Award was given to Ian Wood, for his consistent consideration of students, and promotion of engagement with academic and co-curricular activities for personal development.

On top of the great success among our staff, there was also an Innovation Award given to one of our Biology students, Andrew Balmer, who was recognised for his establishment of a Faculty of Biological Sciences Magazine.
