Faculty of Biological Sciences

The conference will be held at the Clothworkers’ Centenary Concert Hall at the University of Leeds on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th August 2012.

The venue is very close to Leeds city centre, which only is a short (10 min) walk away. Leeds railway station has excellent links to the local vicinity, Manchester, and London. Directions and maps can be downloaded here: http://www.leeds.ac.uk/info/20014/about/157/how_to_find_us

The closest airport is Leeds-Bradford Airport (http://www.leedsbradfordairport.co.uk/), which has a connecting bus service to the city centre or 25 min by taxi (approximately £18 each way). Alternatively Manchester International Airport (http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/manweb.nsf) has more options for carriers and routes to Europe, Japan and North America, and is connected by a direct train link from the airport terminal to Leeds city centre station. This connection takes approximately 1.5 hours (approximately £25 each way).

Sessions will be scheduled from 9am to 5pm on both days, with oral symposium presentations in the mornings and poster sessions in the afternoons. Each day will culminate with a Keynote presentation at 4-5pm. The afternoons (1-4pm) are left free for lunch, poster viewing and to allow for discussion, networking and development.
